It is currently party to 30 trade agreements with 70 countries (including the UK, US, China, the EU, and Japan). In 2010 Chile became the 31st member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oecd.org\/\">OECD<\/a>, only the second Latin American country to join after Mexico.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chile is also a member of:<\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/alianzapacifico.net\/en\/what-is-the-pacific-alliance\/\">Pacific Alliance<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rio_Group\">Rio Group<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>a full member of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.subrei.gob.cl\/organismos-multilaterales\/apec-foro-de-cooperacion-economica-de-asia-pacifico\/acerca-del-foro\">APEC<\/a><\/li>\n<li>a founding member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Comprehensive_and_Progressive_Agreement_for_Trans-Pacific_Partnership\">Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership<\/a><\/li>\n<li>an associate member of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercosur.int\/\">Mercosur<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unasursg.org\/\">UNASUR<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For the full list of economic and other international organisations in which Chile participates click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.subrei.gob.cl\/\">here<\/a>. Also see <a href=\"https:\/\/chile.gob.cl\/reino-unido\/en\/bilateral-relation\/documents-subscribed\/acuerdos-y-tratados-bilaterales\">Agreements and Treaties &#8211; Chile Abroad<\/a><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nChile and the United Kingdom agreed an <a href=\"https:\/\/assets.publishing.service.gov.uk\/government\/uploads\/system\/uploads\/attachment_data\/file\/777020\/continuing-the-uks-trade-relationship-with-the-republic-of-chile.pdf\">association agreement<\/a> on January 30, 2019, with the objective of ensuring that both parties would continue benefiting from preferential trade arrangements after the UK left the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement took effect on 1st January 2021, when the existing EU agreement ceased to apply to the UK.<br \/>\nThe agreement covers issues such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certificates and Declarations of Origin<\/li>\n<li>Preferential Tariff Rates on Goods<\/li>\n<li>Sanitary and Phytosanitary Certification<\/li>\n<li>Country of Origin<\/li>\n<li>Goods in Transit in an EU Country<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe UK and Chile have an annual ministerial Trade Dialogue that examines ways to boost bilateral trade, including opportunities to review and modernise the UK-Chile Association Agreement.
