The Financial Market Commission (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmfchile.cl\/portal\/principal\/613\/w3-channel.html\">CMF<\/a>) which was formed in 2017 oversees more than 70% of the regulated financial assets in Chile.<\/p>\n<p>The privatised utility services companies and operations are overseen by regulators dedicated to each sector, as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf The privatised and concessional water and wastewater services are overseen by the Superintendence of Sanitary Services (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.siss.gob.cl\/\">SISS<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Energy is overseen by the National Energy Commission (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cne.cl\/es\/\">CNE<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Telecoms by the Undersecretary of Telecommunications <a href=\"https:\/\/www.subtel.gob.cl\/\">SUBTEL<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Large scale infrastructure projects will always require an approved environmental impact assessment before the project can commence. The regulatory body responsible for the overseeing and issuing of permits is Environmental Evaluation Service (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.guiaminera.cl\/servicio-de-evaluacion-ambiental-sea\/\">SEA<\/a>).
