Beatriz Hevia addresses economic and political perspectives at a new session of BritCham Chile’s Finance Committee

Santiago, July 9, 2025 – A new session of the Finance and Capital Markets Committee of the British-Chilean Chamber of Commerce (BritCham Chile) was held this morning. Beatriz Hevia, a lawyer and former President of the Constitutional Council, participated. He is currently part of presidential candidate José Antonio Kast’s team.

The activity was led by the Committee’s President, Pierre-Julien Loriquet, and his Vice President, José Miguel Diez, and brought together BritCham members interested in delving deeper into the economic and political implications of the current electoral scenario. Also present at the meeting were Christopher Lyon, President of BritCham Chile, and Elle Denton, Executive Director.

During her remarks, Beatriz Hevia addressed the need to restore social and institutional trust through an approach focused on two main pillars: the economy and security. She also called for progress toward a transformation of the State that promotes economic freedom, with special attention to key areas such as health, housing, senior care, and infrastructure.

The lawyer emphasized the importance of building cross-cutting and collaborative agreements, stating that each scenario must be viewed as an opportunity for collaboration for the common good.

The next session of the Finance and Capital Markets Committee will be held on August 7 as part of the CEO Vision series. Roberto Daura, Commercial Representative in Chile for British Airways and Iberia, will share his strategic vision on the development of the airline sector and its impact on the national economy.
