BritCham Chile promotes responsible consumption as a cornerstone of a sustainable future.

Santiago, August 21, 2025 – The British-Chilean Chamber of Commerce (BritCham Chile), through its Sustainability Committee, held a new event last Thursday called “Responsible Consumption: Public Policy for a Sustainable Future” at the Anglo American offices.
The event featured Víctor Caro, Head of the Environmental Information and Economics Division of the Chilean Ministry of the Environment, who presented the objectives of the National Program for Sustainable Consumption and Production (PNCPS).
Caro emphasized that the fundamental objective of the program is to contribute to the transition toward sustainable consumption and production patterns, decoupling environmental pressures from economic growth. To this end, the PNCPS contemplates the implementation of state actions through programs, policies, laws, plans, and agreements that promote responsible consumption and production, in line with the green growth agenda.
