Last Thursday, we successfully celebrated another edition of the Innovation and Management in Sustainability Recognition (RIGS 2025) at the residence of the British Ambassador to Chile. This award, created in 2009 by the Sustainability Committee of the Chilean-British Chamber of Commerce, highlights and promotes success stories and best practices in environmental innovation.
The ceremony featured speeches by HMA Louise De Sousa, British Ambassador to Chile; Juan Carlos Muñoz, Minister of Transport and Telecommunications; Arturo Pérez Errázuriz, President of RIGS; and Andrea María Meneghetti Sheppard, Group Sustainability Manager of Inchcape Americas. All of them emphasized the importance of promoting initiatives that contribute to the country’s sustainable development.
During the awards ceremony, projects from various organizations were recognized in the categories of carbon management, energy management, water management, social management, circular economy, and sustainable transport. We congratulate all the winners for their commitment and contribution to the sector.
We especially recognize UÑU LAB, winner of the SME category, for its Pala en Mano Conservation Festival project, a pioneering initiative that integrates culture, education, and volunteer work to restore native forests in Chiloé.
We also congratulate Collahuasi, winner of the Large Company category, for its Trolley Assist project, a technology that reduces CO₂ emissions by 97.6% in the affected section, decreases diesel consumption, and optimizes operational efficiency.
We deeply appreciate the presence of our partners, collaborators, participants, speakers, and allies. We invite you to join us for the next edition of this important award.
