Santiago, Chile. The Chilean-British Chamber of Commerce (BritCham Chile) held the kickoff session of its 2026 Human Capital Committee today, marking the start of a new work cycle focused on the main challenges and opportunities in the labor market. At the event, Cristian Blanchard, Human Capital Director of PwC Chile, was officially introduced. He was elected president of the committee earlier this year. Verónica Oquendo, Country Head of Human Resources at HSBC, continues to serve as vice president, a role she assumed several years ago.
During the session, the committee’s 2026 activity calendar was presented. It includes initiatives related to training, women’s leadership, the legal framework, and best labor practices from the United Kingdom. The topics were defined based on current events and the main interests of the member companies, as discussed at the committee’s last planning meeting.
The Human Capital Committee of BritCham Chile seeks to establish itself as a forum for analysis, exchange of experiences, and value creation for member companies, fostering dialogue between senior executives and labor specialists. Companies interested in actively participating in this initiative can express their interest by writing to Leonardo Ortiz at leonardo.ortiz@britcham.cl.
