About the Event

Digital transformation, the adoption of cloud services and the increasing interconnection between corporate systems and production networks have made cybersecurity a strategic challenge for organisations, extending beyond technology teams to involve senior management, operations and risk management functions.

Against this backdrop, the Technology, Innovation and Science Committee of BritCham Chile will host the discussion “Cybersecurity in Practice: Risk Management, Resilience and IT/OT Security”, providing an opportunity to examine the challenges companies currently face in protecting their digital assets, critical systems and business continuity.

The discussion will place particular emphasis on the integrated management of risks across Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments, as well as the practical application of international cybersecurity standards and frameworks.

Guest Speaker

Ricardo Urbina Miranda
Information Security Officer, Grupo Elecmetal | President, CSA Chile Chapter

Ricardo Urbina has more than two decades of experience in information security and cybersecurity. He holds a degree in Information Technology and Management from Universidad Diego Portales and has held the international CISSP certification since 2001. He also completed a Diploma in Computer Security at the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of Universidad de Chile.

His professional expertise encompasses ISO 27001, NIST, cloud security, OT networks, risk management, and SAP security and role management. He has led certification and recertification processes for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) under ISO 27001 and, over the past eight years, has developed extensive experience in industrial cybersecurity and risk management associated with production networks.

Throughout his career, he has held technology and information security positions at organisations including Grupo Elecmetal, Entel, 3Com Chile, The Chase Manhattan Bank and KLM.

Our second guest speaker will be announced shortly, bringing a complementary perspective to the discussion on today’s key cybersecurity challenges.
