Santiago, September 3, 2025. This Wednesday, a notable networking event took place at the “Celebrating Connections” networking cocktail party, organized by the British-Chilean Chamber of Commerce (BritCham Chile). The event brought together Chamber members in a relaxed atmosphere, conducive to forging new connections, meeting newly incorporated members, and reconnecting with other associates.

The event, held at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, featured welcoming remarks from our Executive Director, Elle Denton, who highlighted BritCham Chile’s commitment to promoting trade and cooperation between Chile and the United Kingdom.

One of the highlights of the event was the participation of the delegation from the Falkland Islands Development Corporation (FIDC), currently visiting Chile to explore collaboration opportunities. At the event, Louise Ellis, Deputy Managing Director of the FIDC, presented the organization’s main strategic guidelines, aimed at economic and business development in the Islands.

The IFCD plays a key role as the Falkland Islands’ national economic development agency, leading the promotion of the trade sector and playing a key role in implementing the Falkland Islands Government’s economic strategies.
