BritCham Chile holds a new session of the CEO Vision series with the participation of Patricio Hidalgo, CEO of Anglo American Chile.

Santiago, June 10, 2025. As part of the CEO Vision Series, organized by the Finance and Capital Markets Committee of the British-Chilean Chamber of Commerce (BritCham Chile), a new session was held with the prominent participation of Patricio Hidalgo, CEO of Anglo American Chile.
During his presentation, the executive shared a strategic vision of the main challenges facing mining in contributing to improving people’s quality of life, addressing key topics such as the central role of copper in the global economy, Chile’s leadership as the main supplier of this mineral, the growing demand from China, and the projection of a sustained increase in copper consumption until 2035, driven by the energy transition.
Hidalgo also presented relevant advances made by Anglo American Chile in decarbonization, biodiversity protection, social and technological innovation, and the development of pioneering models in areas such as education and healthcare.
The session was attended by prominent authorities and representatives from the public and private sectors, including Christopher Lyon, President of BritCham Chile; Directors Pierre-Julien Loriquet and Ricardo Garib; Louise De Sousa, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Chile; and José Miguel Diez Ihnen, Vice President of BritCham’s Finance and Capital Markets Committee.
