BritCham Chile, in collaboration with the Chilean-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and the Chilean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held the kickoff event for the Health Pact 2030, an initiative aimed at promoting a multi-sectoral working platform that seeks to contribute to strengthening the Chilean healthcare system.
The project places special emphasis on access to innovation and the generation of evidence-based technical proposals that can contribute to the development of public health policies.
During the event, some of the main challenges currently facing the healthcare system were addressed, along with the need to advance towards greater regulatory efficiency and the development of digital health, aspects considered key to improving the quality and timeliness of care for patients.
In this context, participants highlighted that innovation is a fundamental element for strengthening the healthcare system. However, significant gaps were also identified in access to new solutions, as well as the need to accelerate certain processes and strengthen data management to facilitate the timely delivery of innovative technologies, treatments, and tools to those who need them.
The participating chambers also agreed to move forward throughout the year with a multilateral collaboration plan, aiming to incorporate new voices from the sector and create spaces for dialogue and joint work that will contribute to the development of proposals and the strengthening of the healthcare system in Chile.
The session was led by Mariella Parodi, President of the Health Committee of BritCham Chile and Head of Communications and Government Affairs for GSK in Chile, Peru, and Ecuador, and Elle Denton, Executive Director of BritCham Chile, with the collaboration of the Chilean-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and the Chilean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
