BritCham Chile Addresses Training and Tax Exemption System in New Human Capital Committee Session

June 12 ,2025

Santiago, June 12, 2025 – The Chilean-British Chamber of Commerce (BritCham Chile) held a new session of its Human Capital Committee today, focusing on key topics related to training and the use of the tax exemption system as a development tool for individuals and organizations.

The session featured presentations by María Gabriella Battaini, Director of Adecco Training Chile, and Marcela Lorenzo, Business Manager at Just4U, who shared their insights and experience regarding the mission of the National Training and Employment Service (SENCE) and its main instruments: training programs, tax exemption system, and employment subsidies—all aimed at improving individual employability and enhancing business productivity.

The event also provided a deeper look into the strategic role played by Technical Training Organizations (OTEC) and Intermediate Technical Training Organizations (OTIC) in the implementation of these programs. Additionally, the discussion addressed the question: “How can SENCE spending become an investment?” highlighting strategies such as scholarships and cross-financing mechanisms that help optimize projects by increasing returns through the enrollment of individuals in the 100% coverage bracket.

BritCham Chile extends special thanks to the speakers for their valuable contributions, to Verónica Oquendo, Vice President of the Human Capital Committee, for leading this session, and to PwC Chile for hosting the event at their facilities.

These spaces for dialogue and analysis are part of BritCham Chile’s ongoing commitment to promoting best practices, continuous learning, and the strengthening of human capital as a cornerstone of sustainable development for organizations and the country.
