BritCham Chile addressed the real-world uses of Artificial Intelligence in Human Resources.

September 24 ,2025

Santiago, September 2025 – The British-Chilean Chamber of Commerce (BritCham Chile) held a new session of its Human Capital Committee this Wednesday, focusing on Real-World Use Cases of Artificial Intelligence in Human Resources. This session analyzed the opportunities and challenges this technology poses for people management.

The event featured presentations by Romina Aguilera, Senior Manager of People Advisory Services at EY, and Nicolás Alarcón, Senior Consultant in AI for HR at EY, who shared reflections and concrete experiences on the impact of AI on workplace practices. During the session, it was highlighted that AI can create content, generate ideas, converse naturally, and support decisions; however, the importance of the human role in supervising, adjusting, and protecting, thus ensuring ethics, confidentiality, and organizational culture, was underscored.

The speakers also addressed key concepts such as the “stochastic parrot,” which describes how AI reproduces patterns without strict reasoning, as well as the importance of semantic density in communication processes. In addition, EY presented concrete examples of its application in HR, such as training new assistants, support in developing job descriptions, and its usefulness in focus groups.

BritCham Chile announced that the next session of the Human Capital Committee will be held in October, and a new topic will be addressed, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
