BritCham Chile announces new governance for the Legal Committee

December 15 ,2025

The Chilean-British Chamber of Commerce (BritCham Chile) announces the new governance structure of its Legal Committee, a key body for analyzing and reflecting on the main regulatory and legal challenges impacting the business world.

In this context, BritCham Chile announces the appointment of Paola Cifuentes, Legal Manager at Anglo American, as the new Chair of the Legal Committee. With nearly 30 years of experience in the mining and energy sectors, she has developed a distinguished career at key companies in the country, such as Endesa (now Enel), Antofagasta Minerals, and Codelco, where she served as Legal Director. Since 2019, she has been included in The Legal 500’s GC Powerlist Chile, and in 2024 she was recognized as “Executive of the Year” by Mujeres Empresarias (Women Entrepreneurs) and Diario Financiero (Financial Daily), in addition to being recognized among the 100 Leading Women of Chile in 2024 and 2025.

Likewise, the BritCham Chile Legal Committee is proud to appoint Franco Acchiardo, Managing Partner of Clyde & Co., as vice president of the committee, along with José Tomás Cuevas, Director of the Corporate Area at Anguita Osorio Abogados, as a secretary. Both join this leadership team, bringing solid professional experience and a strong commitment to the organization’s work.

With this new governance structure, BritCham Chile reaffirms its commitment to strengthening its committees and creating spaces for technical dialogue, collaboration, and best practices, contributing to the development of a modern, transparent legal environment aligned with the country’s challenges.
