BritCham Chile Promotes Dialogue on Challenges and Innovation in Environmental Assessment

Santiago, June 24, 2025 – This Tuesday, the Sustainability Committee of the British Chilean Chamber of Commerce (BritCham Chile) held a new discussion session featuring Valentina Durán Medina, Executive Director of the Environmental Assessment Service (SEA).
During her presentation, Durán shared a comprehensive perspective on the current challenges of the Environmental Impact Assessment System, addressing the status of ongoing projects, their compliance levels, and the innovative actions the SEA is implementing to modernize and improve the efficiency of its service.
The session was opened by Arturo Errázuriz, Director of the Recognition in Innovation and Sustainability Management (RIGS) program and past president of the Sustainability Committee, who invited attendees to take part in the 16th edition of RIGS. This initiative promotes and recognizes best practices in sustainability within the business sector. Details of the program and its call for participation will be announced soon.
The event was also attended by Elle Denton, Executive Director of BritCham Chile, and Laura Landeta Reyes, President of the Sustainability Committee, along with members and representatives of member companies who actively contributed to the discussion.
“We will continue fostering spaces for dialogue and collaboration between the public and private sectors, with the aim of moving towards a more sustainable future for Chile,” said Laura Landeta Reyes.
