We are pleased to extend our thanks to Marsh McLennan’s Siegfried King for joining us for the second year in a row to share the findings of the Global Risk Report, developed by Marsh in collaboration with the World Economic Forum.

Siegfried’s insights provided our Finance and Capital Markets Committee with a comprehensive understanding of the key risks outlined in the report, both in the near term and over the next decade.

From extreme weather events to lack of information and misinformation, the challenges highlighted in the report underscore the complexities facing nations globally. Despite some progress, the prognosis remains worrying, predicted with a negative outlook that is expected to persist and even worsen in the coming years.

However, armed with this knowledge, we can better prepare for the future. The report emphasizes the importance of localized strategies, innovative efforts, collective actions and cross-border collaboration to mitigate these risks and shape a better future for all.
