Santiago, May 2025. At the Sustainability Committee of the Chilean-British Chamber of Commerce, we had the privilege of having Alberto Kresse, President of the Chilean Desalination and Reuse Association (ACADES), participate in an enriching activity entitled “Desalination as a Path to Water Security in Chile.”

This meeting was a valuable opportunity to reflect on the role of technology in addressing the water crisis affecting our country.

The activity was opened by Laura Landeta, President of BritCham’s Sustainability Committee, who highlighted the importance of creating spaces for dialogue on sustainable solutions. Alberto Kresse then shared a comprehensive overview of the development of desalination in Chile, addressing past developments, challenges overcome, and current advances that make this technology a concrete response to water scarcity.
