COMMITTEE ACTIVITIES 2024

Practical workshop on the Karin Law: Practical Implementation for Prevention and Internal Investigations

On Thursday, October 10, a key event was held at the Morales & Besa offices, focused on the Karin Law, a regulation that introduces significant changes in the framework of the prevention and management of complaints in companies. This workshop was aimed at professionals in the legal and human resources area, who seek to align themselves with the new legal requirements and strengthen their prevention strategies and management of internal investigations.
The main speakers at the event were Claudia Sarmiento, partner at SWG, and Valentina Morales, partner at Morales & Besa, both leading experts in labor law and corporate regulations. Her experience provided valuable perspective to attendees, who actively participated in the discussion on best practices for implementing Karin’s Law.

Talk about the New Karin Law: Scopes and Challenges for Companies

Last Thursday, August 29 at 4:00 p.m., an informative talk titled “New Karin Law: Scope and Challenges for Companies” was held, organized by the Legal Committee and the Human Capital Committee of the British Chilean Chamber of Commerce. . The event had Senator Matías Walker as speaker and guest of honor and took place at the Guerrero Olivos Offices and had the participation of prominent professionals and experts in labor law.

Taller Práctico sobre la Implementación de la Ley de 40 Horas con Enfoque en el Artículo 22

El 25 de abril de 2024, el Comité de Capital Humano de la Cámara Chileno Británica de Comercio (BritCham) organizó un taller práctico sobre la implementación de la Ley de 40 horas, con un enfoque especial en el Artículo 22. Este evento tuvo lugar en las oficinas de Cariola Diez Pérez Cotapos, contando con la participación de Ignacia López, socia de Cariola y presidenta del Comité, junto con Brenda Herrera, Gerente General de Adecco, como expositoras invitadas.
